Altar Server Ministry- Grades 4 and older
The Altar Server helps the liturgical assembly pray by leading the procession, as cross bearer, assisting as acolytes, ringing bells and book bearer. It is open to boys and girls grade 4 and older. The altar servers serve at the weekend Masses as well as Funeral and Wedding Masses.
Adult Altar Server Ministry
During the week for Funeral Masses we have an Adult Altar Server Ministry. They are a wonderful symbol of support of the entire parish community at a very difficult time. Funeral Masses are normally scheduled at 10:00 am or 11:30 am.
Ushers
The Ushers primary role is to assist parishioners in seating for the Eucharistic Assembly. Ushers take up the various collections as well as hand out the weekly bulletins. The Ushers straighten up the worship space after all the Masses.
Lectors
The Lector proclaims the Word of God at Mass. The Lector also reads the Prayer of the Faithful during Mass. The Lector communicates our faith through proclaiming the Word of God.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
The Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion assist the priest and deacon in distributing the Body and Blood of Jesus to our brothers and sisters. Ministers serve at Sunday Mass, Weekday Mass.
Ministers can also serve in bringing Holy Communion to the Homebound as well as those in our area nursing homes.
Caretakers of Church Linens
The Caretakers of Church Linens launder the linens used for the Celebration of the Most Holy Eucharist. The Caretakers of Church Linens clean the altar cloths, corporals, finger towels, and purificators for each Mass.
Music Ministry
The Music Ministry here at St. Joseph’s strives to bring beauty and dignity to our Masses through song. Membership in the Music Ministries here at St. Joseph’s offers an opportunity to let music become a part of your gift from God.
Adult Choir, Youth Choir, Contemporary Ensemble, Cantor Ministry
Hospitality Committee
The Hospitality Committee coordinates refreshments and set up for special events during the year e.g.- receptions, breakfasts, etc…
