The next seminar of the season will be on Friday, February 10, 2017. The seminar leader will be Fr. Matthew MacDonald. The presentation is entitled:
The Blessed Virgin Mary & The Four Marian Dogmas.
One of the central, most important and most controversial figures in our Catholic Faith outside Jesus Himself is His Mother, the Immaculate and ever Blessed Virgin Mary. Why do we as Catholics attribute so much to her? Why do we give her so much attention? Does not devotion to her
take away from our worshipping of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? In light of the hundredth anniversary of the Apparitions of Our Lady in Fatima Portugal and the Adult Faith Formation program we will be having on it here at St. Joseph’s Church in late April, Fr. MacDonald will explore the role that the Blessed Virgin Mary has played in Salvation History by looking at what are called the
Four Marian Dogmas, how they relate to Jesus and what they say about God’s plan for all of us.
Seminar will begin with the 9:00 AM Mass in the daily Mass Chapel; it continues in the Parish Center with a continental breakfast and the presentation followed by lunch.
